Generate invoice numbers starting from 1001:

=1000+ROW()-1

Prefix + Sequential

Add a prefix like "INV-" with zero-padded numbers:

="INV-"&TEXT(1000+ROW()-1, "0000")

Date-Based Invoice Number

Include the date in the invoice number (e.g., INV-20260318-001):
